Seriously...so talented

My sister-in-law Ashley made the twins the CUTEST outfits for their birthday. She is so talented and such a perfectionist. I think the material she chose was darling and looks so cute together. Now I just need to figure out how to get her to make 7 outfits for 4 girls...one for every day of the week:) Ashley, thank you so much for being so sweet to take the time and effort to make my girls such a thoughtful gift. We can't thank you enough.

Happy Birthday...2 U

So we survived and so did they!!! 2 years ago our lives were completely changed...for the better. We have been so blessed to have Preslee and Payge in our family and have truely enjoyed all of it. The twins actually enjoyed their birthday more than I thought they would. On Friday(their true birthday) we spent the evening at the aquatic center. John was ready to leave after a short time but the twins had other plans. Everytime we would try to go they would cry and I would remind John that it was their birthday and we should stay a little longer:) Since we were wet and it was late we decided to call it a day and finish celebrating on Saturday. 2 soccer games and 2 friend birthday parties later, we were ready to finish celebrating their birthday. We went to dinner at Cafe Rio, did a little shopping, and headed home to open presents. Instead of doing cake (since it's so messy and Preslee isn't a fan of it) we did cute little cookies instead. They weren't to sure about the candles and both got really upset when Brilynn and Maycie helped them blow out the candles and the smoke got in their faces:( However, the cookies were a hit but they were still messy). Their shirts were covered in frosting so we had to strip them down before opening gifts. They did a pretty good job opening their gifts (with a little help from their sisters.)They have a love hate relationship with the ZHU ZHU's they love them when they are far away and hate them when they are 2 close!
Thanks everyone for the birthday gifts and the sweet wishes. Brilynn and Maycie are seriously the best sisters the twins could ask for. They always include them in everything and want to be with them all the time...even when they are playing dress-up. Don't you love Brilynn's Hollywood sign in the background of her pic:)

The twins recieved some bath crayons for Christmas and so I decided to let them use them the other night. The girls were in the bath tub for almost 2 hours. Brilynn and Maycie even joined them after they had been in their for about an hour. The girls thought it was so fun that they could color all over the walls and themselves without getting in trouble. I wasn't able to get much done during the 2 hours but atleast they weren't distroying the whole house!!!

How can twins be complete opposites?

When I am in public with all 4 of my girls it is almost a guarantee that I will hear one of the following questions. Do you have twins? Do you have 2 sets of twins? All girls? Oh, your in trouble when they hit the teenage years! I was in Childrens Place today with the girls when I was asked, "Those two aren't twins are they?" This is a question I actually get a lot. People get confused because they look they same age and are dressed alike but they don't look anything a like. My twins couldn't be any different. Payge-straight hair, Preslee-curly hair, Payge-tons of hair, Preslee-not so much, Payge- Olive skin, Preslee-white as white, Payge-right handed, Preslee-left handed, Payge-laid back, Preslee-has a temper, the only thing that they have the same is their big blue eyes. They are definetly Salt and Pepper and that is why they are best friends. They are never apart and Payge is content to follow Preslee around and take her beatings. Payge has learned to fight back when Preslee tries to take her food or toys away. Seriously, we love having twins and feel so blessed to have them in our family!

I Baby

Preslee brought the crib into the family room where I was making hair bows, set it down right in front of me, climbed in, and said, "I BABY." She makes me laugh!!!

It's Never ENDING with these 2

Preslee decided to help herself to my make-up drawer, found my mascara and hair wax, and decorated her face. While I was cleaning her up (and snapping some pics) Payge was helping herself to........chocolate from the candy drawer. Seriously, it is never ending with these 2. I feel like a little lost puppy following these 2 all day long and cleaning up after them. It's a good thing they are so cute...even when they do look like complete orphans:)

Spaghetti Spaghetti...all over the place!!!

So the girls refuse to let me feed them anymore. So dinner time is a BIG mess. I have to take their clothes off and just turn a blind eye while they eat because it drives me crazy to see how messy they are. I now use bowtie pasta when I make spaghetti because it is much easier for them to eat. Preslee kept putting her chunks of tomato in Payge's bowl and then Payge would quickly return the favor. Preslee saying "CHEESE"

St Patty's

We really enjoyed celebrating this holiday this year. It started out when Brilynn went to school on Monday and they were setting up traps to catch Larry the Leperchaun who had messed up their classroom. So on Tuesday Brilynn came home and said that some of the kids had brought different traps to school and they had researched it on the internet. Brilynn asked me if I would go to the store and buy her some beer. I just about died and quickly asked her "WHY?????" She told me that her friend had found on the internet that if you give the leperchauns beer then it slows them down and then they are easier to catch. I had to try really hard not to laugh and we had a long discussion about why we wouldn't buy beer for the leperchauns. This included a short lesson on the word of wisdom, the appearance of evil (like what do you think people would do if they saw me buying beer in the store?) and guidlines for searching the internet. Later on I had a pretty good laugh about her comment and the funny this was that she was completely serious. Hopefully she learned something though. ANYWAY... Brilynn told John that he needed to get on the interent and find a trap so that we could catch our own leperchauns. This was John's contraption. He left a smore under the basket with hopes the leperchaun would knock over the stick while trying to get the treat. The leperchaun left a small trail while getting the snack but the trap didn't work. Brilynn and Maycie were pretty disappointed with the trap that John had set and Brilynn told him that next year he needs to search harder on the internet to find a better trap. Her suggestion was to get a garbage can and put glue in the bottom. Then lay a piece of tissue across the garbage can and place gold coins on the tissue. When the leperchaun tries to get the gold coins, he will fall through the tissue paper into the garbage can and be stuck to the glue. I have to admit, that probably was a better idea than John's trap:)For breatfast we had green milk, green eggs, and green frenchtoast. The leperchauns did leave a cute shirt and hairbows for the girls.

My sister is the BEST!!! (and her husband was a big help as well:)

So my sister seriously is such a lifesaver. I think this is the 4th time that she has kept my kids for me. She was so sweet to offer to keep them while we took Brilynn and Maycie to Disneyland. In return I took her little boy Cason with us. I for sure got the better end of the deal since she was stuck at home for 6 days with Preslee, Payge, and her little boy Brandt. I was really nervous and was feeling really bad about leaving her with them, but from what she said, they actually entertained themselves pretty good. So here are some pics from the twins week at the Rooks Residence!!! Preslee and Payge loved Dustin. I think he had 2 little shadows from the time he got home until the time they went to bed. He was so cute with them and we really do appreciate it.

He even let Preslee wear his shoes. Anyone who knows Preslee knows that she has a major shoe fetish. Doesn't matter size, color, or who's they are, she has to try on any pair of shoes that she sees and always wants to have shoes on. Thanks for sharing Dustin!

Misti really felt like she had triplets even though Brandt is a year younger. I guess she really wanted to feel like she had triplets so she decided to dress them alike. Thank heavens she really doesn't have triplets.

More proof of Dustin's little shadows.

Don't mind the disgusting nose...

Preslee showing her attitude with Misti's flip flops on!

Best Friends. Misti was amazed at how well they entertained each other. She loved how they really looked out for one another and took even turns with the toys. It's nice to know that even though Preslee dominates between the two of them, she still watches out for her "little" sis:)

Poor Brandt totally felt invaded. He had to share his mom and dad with not only 1 but 2 other needy children. So Sorry Brandt.

Preslee discovered her love of Bananas and Payge follows in my footsteps of thinking banannas are for monkeys! Misti was so good to send us pics of the girls while we were gone. My mom wanted to know if she ever did the girls hair? It's okay Misti, I didn't care:)

Brandt feeling like he is one of the girls. The sad thing is that shortly after the picture he fell off the chair:(This is one of my favorite pics of the girls. They are holding hands, sharing mismatched shoes, and in complete sync in taking their step. This picture really made me miss my girls!!!However, they really were enjoying their stay in Kanab. Being able to play with the cat was something so exciting for them. I am such an anti animal person, so this was something completely new to them.

Seriously, thank you Misti, Dustin, Brandt, and Seebass (the cat, not sure how to spell his name either) It is so nice to have family who is willing to help us out. Next time we expect you all to join us on our trip!!!
