Trick-or-Treat

This was Preslee and Payge's first experience with trick or treating. It was so much work for John and I but they loved it. Preslee was making me laugh the whole night. She wouldn't let us carry her or push her in the stroller. She had to walk, by herself, from house to house. Then when her bucket got full I dumped it into another bag. She had a complete melt down. I had to put the candy back in her bucket. She would get upset if the people wouldn't let her pick out her own candy, and she would try to get 2 or 3 pieces at each house. She made it so fun. Payge was content with whatever. The only hard part with Payge was that she wanted to eat every new piece of candy that she got and Preslee just wanted to get to the next house. We had a trunk or treat on our street then we took the kids to the mall. After that we came home and went door to door. The girls got a lot of candy this year and I guess it helped that Preslee and Payge participated this year as well. After trick-or-treating, we came back to our house and had our annual soup dinner with the Butler and Smith families. We enjoy spending the evening with friends and letting the kids run wild in the basement. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and it seems like it comes and goes so fast. Now I have to start planning Thanksgiving!!!

This made me laugh!

When my sister took the kids to the Tree House she took this picture of Brilynn. It wasn't until a few days ago that I had a chance to look through the pictures and I found this one. It made me laugh because this is so Brilynn. Always making a joke. I love this girl!!!

Family Fun

A few weeks ago my sister and mom came out for the weekend. We went non stop for the 5 days they were here. We shopped in Park City, took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese, went to soccer games, visited Frightmares at Lagoon, had a day of rest and went to church, took the kids to the tree house, went to Pack's Pumpkin Patch for FHE, and visited the Sweet's candy factory. The girls loved every minute of it except the shopping parts. It was so fun to have our family here for that long. We look forward to doing it again soon.

Yay!!!! It's Nursery Time

Last month the twins turned 18 months and for John and I that was a huge milestone for the twins. That meant that we would finally be able to send them to nursery during chuch. Thank goodness!!! They are so busy and always on the go. I am so glad that John and I were able to have twins. It has been one of the hardest things but one of the most rewarding things of being a parent. John and I love to sit and just watch them play and interact with each other. They are such sweeties!!!

Jack-O-Lanterns:)

Once the twins went to bed we headed out to the garage to carve the annual pumpkins. Of course Brilynn and Maycie didn't last very long before they were done with the pumpkins and were riding circles around John and I on their scooters. As long as their having fun?????? Thanks John for degutting all of the pumpkins for us. He had them all nice and clean for us before the girls and I even came out. What a sweetie!!!
Brilynn lost tooth number 3 and 4 in the same day. The funny thing was that she lost one in the morning while brushing her teeth. Later that night I looked at her and asked her when she had lost the other tooth. She had no idea that it had fallen out. We couldn't find the tooth so she had to write another letter to the toothfairy explaining what happened to her tooth. Good thing the toothfairy is sooooo sweet and decided to pay her anyway.

Soccer Girls

Although soccer would take up our whole Saturday, it was something I looked forward to each week. I loved watching the girls play and see there differnt personalities shine through. This was Maycie's first year to play and she LOVED it. Her first game she scored 4 goals and was so proud of herself. Brilynn always wanted to play defense until we started offering the girls slurpees if they got goals. Then Brilynn was begging to play offense. After Maycie had her treadmill accident she was out of commision for a week and was very upset that she couldn't play. The first game she played with her "hurt" foot, she had to kick with her left foot but she still managed to score 4 or 5 goals. One morning we were going to soccer and out of the blue Maycie said, "Brilynn just watch me and you'll learn how to play." Brilynn's quick response was, "Maycie, your so RUDE!" It didn't take Maycie long to become very confident in her soccer skills.
