Happy Birthday Preslee and Payge

It's official...the twins have turned "1" I am so glad that we are not back where we were a year ago...but Preslee and Payge have definetly added excitement into our lives. For their birthday we went to Vernal to have a party with my family. We had a BBQ and spent the afternoon outside in the warm weather. I had the twins on a blanket under the shade, but the sun must have filtered through the trees and left little sunkisses on their cheeks. I was a little worried at first, but I must admit, they looked pretty darn cute with their little rosie cheeks! On their actual birthday we took them to Chuck E. Cheese (which really wasn't for them since they were to young to do anything, but Brilynn and Maycie loved it) Later that night we took them to dinner at Cracker Barrel. We love the birthday dessert that they give you which is the chocolate cobbler. It was delicious...I don't know how much the twins really got of it:) Thank you everyone for the gifts (Grandma & Grandpa, Dale & Shannon, Ben & Marcie, Dan & Nikki, Beth & Paul.) Although I asked for no gifts you went ahead and did it anyway!!!
P.S. I do not make birthday cakes. However when we went to Vernal I decided to let Brilynn and Maycie and their cousins decorate a cake for the twins. Just wanted everyone to know that I do not think that I made an awesome cake. Many of my friends and family spend hours making amazing cakes, but this is an area that I have NO SKILLS and I don't pretend to have beautiful cake skills. I know that my birthday cakes are pathetic and I don't even try to make them cute. So with that being said, if anyone ever wants a pathetic birthday cake for their kids, feel free to contact me:)

Look at my pigtail!!!

Payge finally has enough hair to do a teeny tiny pigtail on the top of her head. It's nice that she doesn't have to wear a headband anymore, but it just means one more head of hair for me to do!

Birthday Pictures

I decided to take the twins 1 year pics instead of taking them to a studio. Preslee was a little more cooperative than Payge...and believe me...it is completely impossible to get a good picture of both of them together. The first picture is the one I sent into Good Things Utah and it will be on there show on Thursday, March 26th. Happy Pre-Birthday Preslee and Payge!!!

Baby Strollers

I dread the 5:00 hour. It is very hectic at our house. I am trying to do a million things at one time like cooking dinner, helping Brilynn do homework, picking up the house, and trying to feed the twins. I always seem to get frustrated during this time because the twins seem to always be fussy and are wanting to be held. The other day Brilynn and Maycie took the twins during this crazy time and put them in their doll strollers. The twins LOVED it!!! They were content and loved being pushed all around the house. Brilynn and Maycie can't wait until it warms up because they have big plans to take the twins for a walk around the block with the little strollers.

Draper Temple Openhouse

Since the girls are always asking what we do when we go to the temple, I decided that going to the Draper open house would be a great way for them to learn about what we do when we go to the temple. My friend Becca got us tickets and planned the day for us. I love having friends who are always planning fun outings. Anyway, I was a little disappointed that the temple was gray on the outside and not white. I love how the white temples stand out whereas the Draper temple really blended in with the mountain. Other than that...it was beautiful and we enjoyed the tour. After walking around for a few minutes Maycie decided that she had seen enough and was only concerened with getting a cookie. I must admit, the cookies were delicious and was the icing on the cake.
