End of Soccer...we have our Saturdays back!!!

These two little girls just make us smile. This is how they are most of the time, side by side! Brilynn and Maycie had their last soccer games on Saturday. We will miss watching their games but it will be nice to have our Saturdays back.

Little Maycie's Preschool Graduation

Maycie is so excited to finally be going to kindergarten and I am excited that I have one less bill to pay each month:)

Bored

Well we were bored today so we went to Jensen park and played around with the camera. Silly Girls!

BUSY weekend

On Friday we had the annual 5k race for Brilynn's school. Brilynn and Maycie made a good effort at the start but soon got a side ache and wanted to walk. John and I left them standing on the corner (that sounds really bad) and told them to watch for Rhonda, who was pushing the twins. An extra big THANKS to all my friends who helped with my girls during the race. (even the ones who were sitting on the corner and let Brilynn sit with them for awhile:) After the race we spent a lot of money...I mean time at...the school carnival. All the girls played games, rode the train, and jumped on the bouncey slides. Brilynn even came home with some lovely gold fish. We as parents are so THRILLED about the fish:(This morning we got up early and headed to the soccer games. To bad I had the wrong time written down for Maycie's game and we showed up for the last 2 minutes. Maycie was so upset and was trying to hard to hold back her tears. However, she let me have it as soon as we got home. It's times like that when you feel like a HORRIBLE parent. I think she's over it now. After the twins got a nap we headed to my Aunt's for a BBQ. Things were great, everyone enjoying the sunshine, until we heard a blood curdling scream from Brilynn. She had slipped and took a nice "slide" down the stairs. After a few minutes of settling her down she got up and started playing and took another tumble down the other set of stairs. Guess it just wasn't her day. Sorry Bri:( Payge and Preslee were helping Linda weed her garden. Good job girlies! The girls (and Andrew) built a balance beam out of Linda's garden pieces.Craig the EGG makes Brilynn smile after her tumble down the stairs. Brilynn loves my Uncle Craig and really is close to him even though we don't see him very much.My dad's 2 sisters and brothers. Wonder why my dad isn't in the picture. Oh yeah, I forgot he already made his yearly trip to the city:)We got a good game of redrover in but ended when Shelby's arm got hurt. Doesn't that always happen in that game?Linda had bottles of bubbles for all the kids. Payge just walked around most the time patting people on their legs. She was trying to get anyone who was willing to help her blow her bubbles. She finally convinced Linda to help her and PresleeThen she found Linda's "eyeglasses" and was completely impressed.
Thanks Linda for having us over for the BBQ. It was the perfect way to spend a warm spring afternoon!!!

Luv these GIRLS (and my sweet out numbered husband:)

Once again John and the girls pulled off a wonderful mothers day. The bishop in our ward decided to cancel all meetings so that meant John was free to help me all day on Sunday. SO NICE!!!! I slept in while John and the girls made breakfast. When I came downstairs to eat, Brilynn welcomed me with confetti and the blowing of whistles. She seriously cracks me up. The girsl were so anxious to give me the gifts they had made at school. I love how excited they get to give their simple gifts.
This one really made me laugh. Brilynn took a hair clip and made me a ribbon to wear for the day. Where does she come up with this stuff.

This was a jewelry box she made for me at school. I told her it was the perfect size to keep my ring in. She was thrilled that I was so excited about it!
John went the extra mile to cook all the meals and take care of the girls so that I could just enjoy the day. However I will never let him forget how he bought fat back instead of bacon for breakfast:) While I was doing the girls hair for church I was teaching Maycie her address. John came into the room and said, "Maycie what would you say if someone asked you what is your address?" Before Maycie could respond, Brilynn chimed in and said, "I'l tell them it's none of their beeswax!" She really makes us laugh.

Tonight the girls had their little dance recital. This year they decided to do tumbling instead of dance. When Brilynn brought home a flyer for a little dance class at their school, she was determined she had to participate. They had the highschool cheerleaders teach them once a week during the school year. Tonight was the end of year recital. Preslee and Payge jammed out to every song and loved trying to immitate the dancers. So Cute!!!

Anyone have any suggestions of how to make a little girls hair grow? My girls have always had tons of hair and poor Preslee has the same amount that she had when she was 1. Hopefully someday it will decide to grow:)

Little Cuties

My sister came up for the weekend and wanted to get some pictures of her boys at the same place I had taken of the girls a few weeks earlier. It was FREEZING and a little sprinkiling so we weren't sure if the boys would cooperate or not. We couldn't have asked for better models. They were so cute and so willing.
