An official Snow Day

The night before this we were in Ogden at a Soccer game for Maycie.  It started snowing on the way to the game.  It was snowing so hard and so fast that all the rodes both freeways and backstreets were very slow moving.  Some of the girls didn't even get to the game until the last 5 minutes.  On the way home it took us just over an hour and a half to get home when it should have taken 15 minutes.  I was awaken this morning by a phone call at 5:45. Of course when your phone rings that early in the morning you are expecting the worst.  Nope...nothing bad... school district announcing that all the school in Davis county were going to cancel school due to the Huge Snow Storm.  Well normally I would have appreciated that phone call but since we were already off track...it was a pointeless phone call.  The kids were excited though because all of the neighbors were outside playing in the snow.  They bundled up and headed outside to play.  They went outside about 10 in the morning and stayed out there until about 3 in the afternoon.  I kept bringing them hot chocolate and treats because I was worried they were going to freeze.  They built a variety of forts with all the neighbors and took turns getting rides on the sled that our neighbor was pulling the kids on behind the four wheeler.
