Freedom Festival...Stadium of FIRE

Once again we decided to go to Stadium of Fire for the 4th of July.  Our friends, the Garners, came up from St. George and were staying in Midway.  We went and visited them in Midway.  Later on the 4th of July evening we headed to Provo for the fireworks.  Since we don't want to spend $300-$400 for our family to go inside the stadium...we sit our blankets on the East side of the Stadium.  The kids run around like crazy, we eat yummy food, and listen to the Beach Boys.  We were even able to walk down and watch the concert live from the gate.  The fireworks are amazing and we feel it is the best spot for the 4th of July fireworks.  The Garners have a daughter Brilynn's age. I think  Brilynn and Addie were meant to be twins.  Their personalities are VERY similar.  It's fun to watch them interact with each other.  Brilynn and Addie were more then happy to get their picture taken together...Brilynn and Maycie...not so much.  I have high hopes that someday they will LOVE being sisters!!!

Maycie and I didn't realize that we were dressed in the exact same colors.  Maycie was a little embarrased when I pointed it out to her.
Deep down she really wants to be just like me :)
We know why Brilynn and Addie are such good friends...they are just like their DADS!!!  John and Bryan grew up together in North Carolina.  They revert to little kids when they get together.

The kids spent a lot of time rolling down the hillside.

This is in the middle of her doing her rolls.  I love her expression!!!

Payge is a drinkaholic.  She wants a "baba" aka "drink" all day every day!  She is admiring her nice cold squeezit.

Good thing Rachel brought lots of Veggies for the kids to eat since all we brought was a bunch of junk food.
Payge sharing her coveted "baba's"  However she made sure to tell Eli he could only have "1"
 Eating like rabbits.
Rachel and I met back in 2000 when we lived in the Crestwood apartments.  She started dating Bryan about the same time John and I started dating.  We wish we lived closer.
Preslee loved being rolled into a "TACO"

Once it started getting dark we broke out the glow sticks.  Michaels sells them 15 for $1 whereas Dollartree sells 5 of them for $1.  I was glad I stocked up on them when I was at michaels.  Much cheaper then buying them from the people walking up and down selling them 1 for $1 :)

We wanted to make sure all the kids had plenty of glow sticks.
Be careful if you try to decorate your messy bun with them.  They got REALLY stuck :(

Once Brilynn and Addie got their Glowsticks they made a stage with them around the fence.  They sat a cup out for tips and made up a whole routine to earn money as people watched them perform.  It didn't even phase them when the security people had to open the gate to get into the stadium. I thought for sure they were going to tell them to move but instead they just worked around them haha.

By the end of the night they had made up a complete dance and even made a little bit of money.  It kept them entertained the whole night.
Can't wait till next year!!!
