Regional Stake Conference

 This year we had a regional Stake Conference and our stake was invited to go to the conference center.  Since we were going to be in Salt Lake we decided to make a day of it.  We headed down on Sunday morning and everyone we passed on the freeway was in Sunday clothing.  Traffic was bad even in Davis County.  Once we got there we found some good seats and were ready to listen.  Two of our favorite apostles spoke to us.  Elder Holland and President Uchtdorf.  They were very good talks and really made me ponder about the things they taught. 

 

 Afterwards we walked to a park and had a picnic.  The girls ran around while coming back every once in a while to take a bite.  We then walked around the conference center and temple square.  We even took time to watch the movie Legacy.  It had been a long time since I had seen it and the girls really enjoyed it as well. 

 We also took a tour of the Beehive House. It has been a long time since I had done this and it was very fascinating to me.  What a great way to spend our Sunday!
